Claudia’s face has been seen on network TV, major magazines and in ads for brands including Reebok, Bose Speakers, Gillette, Suave, Rosetta Stone, Hilton Hotels & Xpress Spa. She’s also appeared in Brides Magazine, Parents Magazine, The Knot, Industry Magazine, Pivot Magazine and many more.
Born in San Francisco and growing up in rural Virginia, Claudia found her way to interning on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ the summer of 2008 and permanently moved to NYC in 2009 after graduating from James Madison University with degrees in Communication Studies and Theater. In New York just six weeks, she landed a plum reoccurring gig as Will Gardener’s assistant on the CBS hit show, ‘The Good Wife’. Claudia has also modeled for Hilton Hotels, Xpress Spa, Reliant Energy, and other major companies and designers. She hosts Industry TV’s ‘Destination Dine’ and ‘On the Town’. We welcome our new TARNATION! Sports t shirts model Claudia to the team…
First question Claudia, What’s your favorite sport?
I like watching basketball when I’m actually there at the game (it’s so exciting!), and football when it’s on TV.
Favorite sports team?
My favorite sports team would have to be the Cleveland Browns because it’s my dad’s favorite team!
Are you a city girl or a country girl?
I was raised in the south, but now consider myself a New Yorker so I am a little bit of both. So if I don’t like you, I’ll tell you I don’t like you and then bake you a cake! Just Kidding… (I don’t bake!)
Can you tell us a bit about your background?
An internship at the Late Show with David Letterman prompted me to move to New York after graduating from College. I knew that I wanted to work in television and entertainment so I hit the pavement. I had a couple small roles on Louie and the Onion News Network and was also trying my hand at modeling. Modeling started taking off for me so I put a lot of my energy there. Then I landed a hosting gig (with my sister!) with NBC’s iVillage show “My Best Idea.” It’s been awesome.
How did you get started with modeling?
I started modeling for Rosetta Stone in college as one of my side jobs. I never thought of making a career of it, but then I moved to New York City where anything is possible. It’s hard work, but it’s been a blast!
Other than modeling, what 3 things do you like to do in your spare time?
1. I like to walk around the city with friends. There is always something to do! Here is what a typical day is like: walk, talk, mimosa, walk, talk, margarita, walk, talk, beer… it’s a fun pattern.
2. I blog with my sister at www.thekissters.com.
3. I play with my cat Mac. After a hard day, Mac makes anything better. I’m thinking about getting him into kitty modeling. We’ll see…
What are your passions in life, and why?
My passion is my work. The lifestyle brand I have with my sister, The Kissters, encourages others (mostly women!) that you can live large without a big budget… our motto is “living large on small change” and I thoroughly believe in this. I love how women are excited to share their experiences and I love being a part of it.
So other than modeling, you have other professional aspirations?
Yes. I love my hosting career. My current show “My Best Idea” with iVillage helps women by providing tips and tricks on how to make life more manageable and more fun. I would love to continue my career as a host.
Ok, here’s a fun one. Describe your personality in only 3 words.
Outgoing, curious and determined.
How do you like being a Sports T Shirts Model For Tarnation! Sports?
Usually for work, I don’t get to wear a casual t shirt, so I love it!! It also makes me look like I’m a girl that loves sports and I hear guys dig that.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
When I was 12 I was in “Fiddler on the Roof” at the Barter Theater. In the very first number my bloomers fell down to my ankles. I had been told once never to break character and I took this very seriously. I carried on like nothing had happened, singing and dancing the first number with my underwear tripping me up around my ankles. I was horrified, but my mother thought it was hilarious.
If you had a super power what would it be and why?
haha, ok how about teleporting? that way I can work more hours in one day by skipping the dreaded subway commute! 🙂
So what’s next for you?
I’d like to take my brand and my career to the next level. My ultimate goal is to host a television show with my sister. For now I’m hosting, modeling, and hustling every single day. It never gets old.
Why do I get the feeling that day may not be far off? Thanks to Claudia for taking the time with us. You can see Claudia’s Sports T Shirts modeling shots throughout our website here at TARNATION! Sports.
