Nets Not Dead Yet In Pursuit Of Howard
The Nets are reportedly re-trying to swing a deal for Dwight Howard by offering Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks and their first-round draft picks in 2013, 2015 and 2017. The Nets would still require a third team to get involved however, to make the deal work, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN The Magazine. Broussard says that the deal, if it happens will “rival the NBA champion Miami Heat’s heralded trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh”.
So within a couple of days, the previously sad-sack Nets could surpass the Knicks who took years to get to where they are now.
You can’t make this stuff up!
Robert Littal from Black Sports Online suggests that Howard should agree to be traded to the Lakers because it’s the trade that makes the most sense for the Magic, Lakers, Howard and Bynum. The only problem is that Dwight Howard is a moron…Funniest post I read all day!

Sounds like he’ll come into the league as one of the best three point shooters in the game. Sam adds, “Pairing with Williams could be a dynamic pick and pop combo like Deron had in Utah with Carlos Boozer, just more extended.” The only problem might be on the defensive end, where Teletovic turns microscopic. Still he sounds like a nice addition. If nothing else, the Nets will be fun to watch offensively. Defensively, with Wallace and Johnson, they could be above average, but without Howard aboard, they can only imagine what might have been…
